Title: Heart no Kuni no Alice
Based on the Alice in Wonderland story, but entirely different story line for a love simulation game. The female protagonist, Alice Liddell (can change name), is pulled into the “Country of Hearts” by a little White Rabbit – who magically turns into a boy…
This isn’t your normal country, even if you know the story of Alice. Everyone in the country wield a gun, which is the standard rule if you value your life.
The protagonist believes all the events she experiences and all the people she meets are part of a dream. Everything is not real and that she’ll wake up and see her sister and family again. Is it? Will she?
Your role in the game is to become close to one (or more) of the many country’s citizens. You start out with the prologue of how you were dragged to the new country, meet some people that will give you the insight of what you might experience.
You can meet the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts, and a couple of other characters that weren’t in the original story.
Since you are dragged off into a different world, you would need to find a place to stay. There are three places to choose from when you begin, but will get the fourth after you finish a certain person’s route. When you choose a place to live, you have access to that area 24/7, while other places have a certain time to meet the desired person. You are able to change the time of day by finding hourglasses when you can’t meet the person.
No, this isn’t a typical lovey-dovey story line where girl loves guy, and then jumps/touch/glomps the guy, or vice-versa. The protagonist is realistic, not love/lust at first sight, the feelings are developed over time.
All the characters have their own quirks that make them lovable and interesting.
The Mad Hatter is the Mafia boss in the game. He really enjoys tea, a lot…
Blood Dupre - Voiced by 小西克幸Konishi Katsuyuki
Mr. Mafia Boss...doesn't look like it with that weird getup.
The March Hare is Number 2 in the Mafia. He believes himself to be a dog and not a hare, but he enjoys food made out of carrots – just not carrot itself (carrot sticks are different, they’re not whole carrots).
Elliot March - Voiced by 最上嗣生Mogami Tsuguo
Pet the bunny~pet the bunny~~oh wait, pet the puppy~~
Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are not stupid and round like the Disney version. They look like young boys…just little boys carrying around halberds and killing off people they don’t like. They are only doing their job as the gate guards anyway, so don’t hate them... they’re really friendly once you get to know them.
Voiced by 福山潤 Fukuyama Jun
Can you guess which one is which twin?
The Cheshire Cat, well…look at his clothes and judge for yourself…he’s also an avid gun collector.
Boris Airay - Voiced by 杉山紀彰 Sugiyama Noriaki
Pink and black, goes well for him. Now add in a pink gun and see danger go!
The White Rabbit
Peter White - Voiced by 宮田幸季 Miyata Kouki
Yes, a nice looking rabbit who's giving you a bottle of unknown substance and tells you to drink it...that's how nice he is...
The Queen of Hearts
Vivaldi - Voiced by 甲斐田裕子 Kaida Yuko
The Queen is very pretty...she's married to the king, but you hardly see him. Be courteous if you want to keep your head attached to your neck.
Julius Monrey - Voiced by 子安武人 Koyasu Takehito
He's hurt! Who did it? There's more to being a clock repairman than it seems....
Amusement Park owner
Mary Gowland - Voiced by 堀内賢雄 Horiuchi Kenyuu
This goes to show you, a girl does not take a stranger seriously, especially one with a violin trying to serenade you on first sight...with bad playing skills at that. Yes, that's his name..."Mary Gow---land"
Ace - Voiced by 平川大輔 Hirakawa Daisuke
He gets lost all the time, so he's always prepared to camp where he is.
Voiced by 杉田智和 Sugita Tomokazu
You only see him in your sleep. He seems to know what's going on, he can even read your mind...is this really a dream...
The game has many CGs involved with other characters when you are going after a specific one from your “home.” So there is a long playtime involved due to the different requirements that are needed to trigger some kind of event and obtain the CG.
Playing style is the click and choose answers and actions that are presented to you. You can live in one area and still get a different person from another area if you try.
There are serious moments and comedic moments for each character that you choose. You won't even finish the whole game if you only play through each character once since there are other CGs to collect. This is something very entertaining to enjoy due to the multiple events that'll take place.
